You are right on. Apparently these so called government experts no little about the law of adverse selection or they choose to ignor it.

Oh my gosh, I watched that interview and that was unbelievable. The most sickening part was to watch our representative parrot what the insurance companies had written for them to say and being little more than mouth pieces for the insurance companies. This made me sick to my stomach!

There are many companies out there that play this very same game, auto makers, coal companies, oil companies ..ect, ect.... Its all about the profit/loss ratio. They make a product/service that they know will sell big and a million people will buy it. Through studies and demographics, they also know that this product will do harm to a mear 1% of that million, and possibly kill 0.5%. When they see that on paper, it looks good. Even after they pay out for thier losses, there is still a giant pile of money left over.Thier stocks go up, share holders and investors are happy, thier CEOs get a raise and all is well in thier world. However in The real world, they just made a product/service or enacted a policy that allowed 500 people to die or be harmed. Sure they helped or provided a service/product for the majority of us, but try telling that to the families of the ones harmed.
