Pets of the week, Feb. 13
Published 9:09 am Tuesday, February 13, 2018
Our featured pets for this week are Billy and Apollo.

Billy
Billy is a sweet two and one-half year-old orange and white tabby. He was brought to the humane society as a stray, but he is calm and friendly and adjusted fine to his new surroundings at the shelter. If you are looking for a feline companion, and want to bypass the “kitten crazies”, then Billy would be a wonderful choice. Come for a visit and meet this sweet boy in person to see if he’s a good fit for your family.
Apollo is a gorgeous three-year-old German Shepherd dog. It’s hard to believe he was found as a stray and no one has come forward to reclaim him as their pet. Apollo is a lot of dog! He is very friendly, but high-energy, and probably not for the first time dog owner. Apollo will do great in a home where he gets plenty of exercise and his new owner should commit to providing obedience training and a structured lifestyle. Apollo is a great dog, just looking for his perfect match.

Apollo
PetSmart Charities is sponsoring a National Adoption Event this weekend. The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society will be participating at our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart on Hwy 27 just north of Nicholasville. We will have many of our beautiful kitties, dogs and puppies at the store on Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 12-5. If you are interested in adding a new pet to your home, this will be a wonderful opportunity to find your perfect match. Why not celebrate Valentine’s Day by adding the love of a sweet feline or canine companion to your family! Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
