Patriot Guard Riders rolled up flags planted for an honor mission for deceased U.S. Army veteran Larry Wayne Emmons prior to his funeral service at Stith Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Emmons died April 15 at age 75. Emmons served in the Army from July 1969 through July 1973.
The goal of the Patriot Guard Riders, a non-profit organization, is to honor “fallen military heroes, first responders and honorably discharged veterans” at their memorial services, according to the Patriot Guard Riders website.
