Danville BOE recognizes student and staff accomplishments

The Danville Board of Education recognized students and staff at their March 25 meeting. The following students and staff members received certificates:

  • Bate student Chase Lopez, for being a runner up in middle school state wrestling.
  • Bate student Iris Spears, for accomplishments on Bate’s academic team. She got first place on district writing composition and 6th place on region writing composition, and advanced to state.
  • Bate staff member Beth Allen, recognized for her flexibility and dedication to Bate.
  • Bate staff member Tim Breitenbach, recognized for his dedication to Bate of about 30 years.
  • The Danville High School Forensics Team, for making it to state competition. At the meeting were students Lilly Bratcher and Charlie Kinkade.
  • Edna L. Toliver Intermediate School instructional assistants Sara Ridge and Michaela Stone for being selected for the DISD Option 9 cohort. Ridge is pictured accepting her certificate.
