The Highway 127 Yard Sale is coming through Danville, and is happening now until Sunday, August 6.

The world’s longest yard sale happens the first Thursday through Sunday in August each year. It’s 690 miles long and spans six states. Starting from Addison, MI and ending in Gadsden, AL, it goes through Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama, all on Highway 127.

A major stop on the route is Vendors Village in Danville, located at 1041 Ben Ali Drive. People can rent a spot to sell items at $20 per day. The number of vendors expected at Vendors Village is around 65.

Another major stop for vendors is Smock Farm in Harrodsburg, located at 3580 Louisville Rd (Route 127). Over 100 vendors are expected.

In addition to major stops, people can also find yard sales in the front yards of people’s homes, fields, farms, on side streets along 127, in empty lots, at businesses, parks, and town centers.

Many vendors will open by 8 a.m. each day; however, there’s no set opening or closing time for the individual sales. Each vendor chooses the time they want to open and close. Many usually stay open late into the evening until dark.
