Gina Marie Webb peacefully passed away at her home on August 17, 2023 at 59 years old after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born June 13th 1964 in Lansdowne Pennsylvania.
Survived by her mother Theresa Gloria Talvacchio, siblings Denise and Joseph Talvacchio (Mona) and her children Bryan and Laura Webb.
Gina was a distinguished seamstress, avid gardener, historian, writer, artist and crafts-master. She loved history, in particular Civil War living history events which became a lifelong passion. Gina created a collection of oral histories focused on Sleettown Ky and documenting its culture. The extensive collection is titled: Gina Webb Papers now housed at University of Kentucky.
Gina was a dreamer, she loved to gather with family and friends, swim with manatees, live on the farm, travel especially on family vacations. Gina worked 20 years at Walmart meeting many lifelong friends.
In Gina’s words: She would like to spend eternity living at the base of a water fall in a beach side hut in heaven. Gina has had many happy adventures and enjoyed them all, but couldn’t wait to hug Jesus.
Gina liked to believe that a soul is closest to God in nature and the garden. Gina also spent her happiest moments giving care to orphaned and sick baby mammals, raising them until release and truly feeling God’s love along with being useful and fulfilled.
Gina has asked to be cremated and marked with an in-memory stone at the foot of her husband’s grave.
A Memorial Service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday August 25, 2023 at Walden Funeral Home with Bro. John David Lane officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m.
In lieu of spending money on funeral flowers please, if you will be so kind as to buy a tree, shrub or perennial for your garden that will bloom in her memory for years to come.
