Clyde Sloan, born November 8, 1927, to Floyd and Hazel Sloan, passed on September 10, 2023. Left to cherish his memory are children Clyde W. (Debbie) Sloan and Ralph W. Sloan; his grandchildren, Jason S. Sloan, Jared M. Sloan, Elizabeth Mae Sloan, David A. Sloan, Leslie Lee Looney, and Ronald G. Looney, Jr.; his many beloved great grandchildren, and his life long close friend Errol Cooper. He is preceded in death by his wife Kitty T. Sloan; his stepson Ronald G. Looney; his granddaughter Jenny Lynn Sloan; and his siblings Ralph Gilbert Sloan and Gladys James. Clyde was proud Veteran of the United States Army, a retired Letter Carrier with the US Postal Services, and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for 55 years. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main Street. A service will be held at 10am Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main Street, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
