Cases handled recently in Boyle District Court, listed by name, charge, fine and jail sentence, where applicable, include the following. Court costs also were assessed in most cases.

• Justin Casey McClour: third-degree burglary, amended to attempt, 365 days, suspended 365 days, 2 years probation, remain off Walmart property, failure to comply with sex offender registration, dismissed.

• Scott Andrew Haltom: DUI first offense, amended to DUI second offense, 14 days, credit for 12 days served, $350 fine; no insurance, $100 fine, 1 year insurance monitoring; first-degree criminal mischief, amended to second-degree, 365 days, suspended 351 days, credit for 12 days served, 2 years probation; leaving scene of accident / failure to render aid or assistance, same sentencing as previous charge.

• Christopher J. Risner: first-degree possession of controlled substance (meth), amended to attempt, 365 days, suspended 350 days, credit for 15 days served, 2 years probation; possession of marijuana, 90 days, suspended 90 days, 2 years probation; buy / possess drug paraphernalia, 90 days, suspended 90 days, 2 years probation; no insurance, $100 fine, all time to run concurrently.

• Madison Tompkins: second-degree possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), 90 days, suspended 71 days, credit for 19 days served, 1 year probation; buy / possess drug paraphernalia, same sentencing as previous charge.

• Ian Newman: attempted disarming a peace officer, 30 days, suspended 30 days, 1 year probation; alcohol intoxication in public place first and second offense, $25 fine; resisting arrest, 180 days, suspended 180 days, 1 year probation, substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations.

• Tonie Lee Matherly: shoplifting, 30 days, suspended 30 days, 1 year probation, not to be on 5 Star property, restitution $12.81 plus fee to clerk’s office.

• Joe David Martinez: second-degree criminal trespassing, 30 days, credit for 6 days served; second-degree disorderly conduct, 30 days, credit for 6 days served, time to run concurrently.

• Mark A. Anderson: controlled substance prescription not in original container, 30 days, suspended 26 days, credit for 4 days served, 1 year probation, to have substance abuse assessment and follow recommendations; no license, $50 fine.

CRIMINAL JUDGMENTS

Criminal judgments handed down in Boyle Circuit Court include:

• Candice Moore: 2 counts of identity theft without consent, 1 year; shoplifting, 90 days; 2 counts of third-degree forgery, 12 months.

• Robert Cross: first-degree possession of controlled substance (meth), amended to second-degree (drug unspecified), 12 months; no insurance, 90 days, concurrent with each other and concurrent with state time.

• Tabbitha Dunaway: 2 counts of false statement / misrepresentation to receive benefits over $500, amended to between $500 and $1,000, 12 months, suspended 12 months, 2 years probation, to pay restitution.
