The Pet of the Week is Tater, a barrel-chested, 50-pound, sweet potato of a boy. As an American Staffordshire Terrier mix, he looks like he might be a handful, but looks can be deceiving. Tater is the gentlest, sweetest dog there is! The only attack he knows is the hug and kiss variety, where he tries to give you all his love.
Tater is just a little over a year old, so he’s done growing, but he has lots of energy and interest in playing with you. At the same time, he is a love monster who would be happy snuggling up with you on the couch. He keeps his kennel clean and is ready to learn basic commands.
Tater is leucistic, which means he has very little pigmentation and sunburns quickly. So, he can’t stay outside all day and needs sunscreen and shade when he goes out. Bring Tater home and be showered with Staffy love!
Tater is scheduled to be fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated soon and ready to get some lovins ASAP…from YOU! Apply now: dbchs.org/adopt and meet him at DBCHS between 1-4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 1-7 pm Thursday, and Saturday between 10 am-3 pm. We hope to see you soon!
