An attempted break-in at Danville’s Red Rooster Café last weekend caused the restaurant to lose power. The loss of power resulted in the restaurant losing what Danville Police described as a substantial amount of food. The restaurant had to miss multiple days of business until food was restocked.

According to a statement by Danville Police, an unknown number of suspects attempted to pry open the restaurant’s door but failed. The power to the restaurant was intentionally interrupted.

Danville Police are looking for information regarding the attempted break-in. Anyone with information can contact the Danville 911 Center at 859-238-1220 and ask to speak with the on-duty supervisor. Alternately, tips can be texted to 859-516-5566.

The Red Rooster Café is located at 118 East Main Street in Danville.
