Danville Police investigating scam

The Danville Police Department is investigating a scam where a large cash payment was received.  The victim was led to believe the funds were going to the Federal Trade Commission.

The description of the perpetrator was limited to an individual of Asian descent.  The suspect was last seen in the area of Stevenson Avenue on Tuesday, August 6 between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and is known to target elderly residents.

Danville Police are asking anyone living in the area to check surveillance or ring cameras.  If anyone has information or experienced a similar situation, please contact the Danville Police Department.
