Thetta Virginia Denney

1923-2017

Thetta Virgina (Hawkins) Denney, 93 of Crab Orchard , passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. She was the widow of Loles Denney who preceded her in death on November 23, 2002. Thetta was born in Isom, Virginia on August 30, 1923 to the late Bessie Genola Lane Hawkins & John Horace Hawkins. She was a member of the New Hope First Church of God. She loved her family to the uttermost and she enjoyed cooking, vegatable canning, sewing, quilting and making china dolls.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a Son, Berlon Clinton Denney, a Grandson, Terry Milton Deatherage, Two Great Granddaughters, Breanna and Megan, a Sister, Clara Cantrell, Ten Brothers, Columbus, David, Cossie, Acy, George, Emory, Billy, Delbert, Elmer and Felmer Hawkins.

Funeral Date & Time: 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel

Place of Services: McKnight Funeral Home Chapel

Place of Burial: Sophus Cemetery at Broughtontown

Visitation will be from 5-9 PM on Monday, May 1, 2017 at McKnight Funeral Home
