Mary Anna Jean Wiggins Smock, 88, of Danville, passed away, Sunday August 20, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was born on November 4, 1928 to the late Estill Philip and Izettie Small Wiggins. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Smock. She was in food service at Clear Creek School and was a pastor’s wife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville. Surviving is a son, Phillip Smock (Charlotte) of Mitchellsburg, a daughter, Mary Beth Wilson (Jackie) of Crab Orchard; grandchildren: Tamra Wilson, James Wilson (Brooke), Jonathan Smock, Jonie Henderson (Roger), and Thomas Smock; great grandchildren: Mary Jo Crouch, Stephanie Crouch, Kara Wren, Brecken Wren, Angel Smock, and Sammy Wilson. Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Hobday and Betty Wiggins. Funeral services 1PM Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Mathis officiating. Burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation 11AM until service time.
