Dear Editor,

I would like to know why the “gazebo” that was designed and given by the late Mrs. James Charotte Norvell McConnell, to be placed in Weisiger Park, moved. She gave this Gazebo in memory of the late husband, James Norvell, and as a gift to the community of Danville. I find this move “a slap in the face” to the Norvell family, and an insult to the result of us. I understand that the late Stuart Powell offered to pay for a top (or a roof) to be created and put on top of the Gazebo. I understand that his offer was rejected.
