1928-2018
Doris C. Hogue, 89, of Stanford, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Landmark of Lancaster.
Born April 11, 1928, in Boyle County, Doris was a daughter of the late Elbert and Alma Crane Coyle. She had been the co-owner of D & H Restaurant and service station at the Kings Mountain Corner for many years with her husband, Herston, was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herston Hogue; a brother, Maurice Coyle; and three sisters, Jewell Crews, Juanita Sweazy and June Hafley.
Her survivors include a son, Denny (Gail) Hogue of Waynesburg; her daughter, Vicki (Kenny) Kinnaird of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Aaron Hogue, Alison Adams, Hayley Hogue and Adaline Hogue; two step grandsons, Aaron and Jonathan Psimer; as well as seven great grandchildren, Trevor, Conner and Gabbie Adams, and Clay, Jenna, Kate and Susana Hogue.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Fairview Baptist Church in Stanford by Revs. Aaron Hogue and Gary King with burial following in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Trevor and Connor Adams, Clay Hogue, Aaron and Jonathan Psimer and Harold Harris.
