Charles Thomas Phillips

1936-2018

Charles Thomas Phillips, 82, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018. 

He was born in Danville on March 24, 1936, to the late Ansel Thomas and Edna Lucille Lanham Phillips. Charles was a 1953 graduate of Danville High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He owned and ran Phillips Texaco on Main Street and was a car salesman for Bob Allen Used Cars.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Linda Phillips; and a son, Wayne Thomas Phillips. 

He is survived by a son, Jared Thomas (Katie) Phillips of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Vicki (Ron) Monroe of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Kelly (Allen) Ryan of Danville; a daughter-in-law Karen (Wayne) Phillips of Danville; two sisters, Audrey (Bob) Davenport of Danville and Beverly (Gordon) Montgomery of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Dr. Tim Mathis will officiate. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
