Centre student Cox summer intern 

Mack Cox, of Danville, is currently working at McDaniel Wealth Management PLLC as a summer intern. Cox is a graduate of Boyle County High School and is currently attending Centre College where he’s majoring in economics and finance and minoring in mathematics.

Cox is a member of the Centre College football team and is an assistant portfolio manager for the school’s Investment Society. Outside of school and work Cox enjoys watersports, playing basketball and spending time with friends and family.

Area residents receive academic honors from Lindsey Wilson 

A total of seven residents have earned academic honors at Lindsey Wilson College for the 2018 spring semester. Three area residents have been named to the 2018 spring semester president’s list, and four have been named to the 2018 spring semester dean’s list.

Named to the president’s list are: Sammi Anders, Danville; Rhonda Braymer,  Parksville; and Trevor Reynolds, Junction City.

Named to the dean’s list is: Madison Bryant, Junction City; Charity Browning, Lancaster; Heidi Huffman, Lancaster; and Justice Lyon, Lancaster.

Students named to the president’s pist earned a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Students named to dean’s list earned at least a 3.50 graduate point average on a 4.0 scale and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Local students graduate from Berea College

Union University Dean’s List

Mary Katherine Pridey of Harrodsburg was among the 351 students named to the Union University Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester.

The dean’s list includes full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average on a four-point scale.

Founded in 1823 and affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention, Union University is characterized by quality Christ-centered teaching and learning.

Bellarmine University names area residents to spring dean’s list

Bellarmine University has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester. Bellarmine’s dean’s list recognizes students who receive a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Area residents named to the Dean’s List include:

Collett, Infeld named to dean’s list at Cedarville 

Cedarville University students Victoria Collett of Harrodsburg and Gabrielle Imfeld of Danville achieved the Dean’s List for the 2018 spring semester. Collett maintained a 3.5 GPA and Imfeld maintained a 3.75 GPA while taking at least 12 credit hours from Cedarville University.

Cedarville University, located between Dayton and Columbus, Ohio is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist institution.

Two local students named to Samford dean’s list 

Joseph S. Ellis of Danville (homeschooled at home); and Madison E. Carnes of Stanford, Danville Christian Academy were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Samford University.

Samford University releases dean’s lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean’s list is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester. This past semester, nearly 1,400 students qualified.

Daniel Larock graduates from ENMU

Daniel Larock, of Harrodsburg, graduated from Eastern New Mexico University on May 12, 2018. ENMU is a state institution offering associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree options.

Danville resident makes honor roll at Rhodes College

Danville resident Austin T. Barringer was named to the Rhodes College Honor Roll for the 2018 spring semester. To qualify for the honor roll, a student must be enrolled in at least 16 credit hours of academic work and must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better.

Founded in 1848, Rhodes is a nationally ranked liberal arts college in Memphis, Tenn.
