Carrie Snow has inspired and guided young artists at Boyle County High School for years. During the Gallery Hop on Thursday, Nov. 8, Snow will demonstrate she can create as well as teach when she displays her ceramics at A&L Accessories. 

A&L has participated in the Hop for many years. Owner Ann Clay Harris is excited to again welcome visitors for an evening of shopping. Exhibiting along with Snow will be jeweler Sharon LeMonds and refreshments will be available from Sandy Leber Hogue.

The Gallery Hop is sponsored by the Arts Commission of Danville-Boyle County, and funded in-part by a grant from Kentucky Utilities. Since its beginning, the hop has featured local businesses as well as artists from the area in a partnership which draws visitors to downtown for extra hours of shopping and exposure to new audiences.

New businesses, such as Posh Apparel and owner Holly Moser, can showcase new product and introduce artists whose work they carry throughout the year.  Established businesses, such as Maple Tree Gallery and Derby Shoppe, will welcome shoppers during the expanded hours, especially at the top of the holiday season.

The Arts Commission welcomes new participants — West T. Hill Community Theatre will opens its doors at the theater for two new artists, Lorrae Ewbank and Millie Ellis who work in fiber, focusing on wearable art. While heading in the direction of the theater, take a few minutes to enjoy the Danville community mural on the north-facing wall of the Derby Shoppe, by Andee Rudloff,  and the Sister Cities mural on the south wall of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas, by Dee Craig.

Hop maps are available at all locations which are identified with arts event banners. An Arts Commission information table will be located at the Hub Coffee Shop, available to give directions or for more information about the Arts Commission.
