McDowell Wellness Center offering “Estate Planning 101” seminar
McDowell Wellness Center will host a free seminar titled, “Estate Planning 101” at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 and is open to the public. This seminar will address arranging for the use and distribution of your estate property including topics such as wills and probate, trusts and federal and estate taxes.
The seminar will be led by Shelley Bigelow, VP & Trust Officer, WealthSouth a division of Farmers National Bank and Allen White, Market Director, Senior Trust Officer, WealthSouth a division of Farmers National Bank. The session will last approximately one hour and participants will be able to ask questions.

Perryville Christmas celebration set
PERRYVILLE — Perryville’s Hometown Christmas celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 3. A spaghetti dinner will be from 5-8 p.m. at Perryville Christian Church, 205 East Third St. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-11; children under age 2 can eat free. Music will be provided by Cabin Still and door prizes will be awarded. Tickets may be purchased at the Main Street Perryville Office, 310 South Buell St, and Farmers National Bank, or call (859) 332-1862. All proceeds will benefit Main Street Perryville.
The Christmas parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Perryville Christmas Pilgrimage will be at 7 p.m. The lighting of the Christmas tree will be followed by a reception at Perryville Community Center. This event is sponsored by The City of Perryville, the Perryville Fire Department, The Perryville Ministerial Association, Farmers National Bank and Main Street Perryville.
Wilder Funeral Home to have remembrance service
PERRYVILLE — Wilder Funeral Home will have its annual Service of Remembrance from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the funeral home, 207 South Bragg Street. Music will be provided by The Hilltop Trio. For this service a Remembrance Tree will feature a snowflake ornament for the family of each deceased person recognized and loved ones of all families Wilder Funeral Home has served. Holiday sip and shop event
Kentucky Vendor Events and Show is having a free Holiday Sip and Shop event from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Inter-County Energy building,1009 Hustonville Road in Danville. In addition to vendors selling items like jewelry, personalized bags, skincare, spa and bath products, crafts, candles, housewares, men’s grooming products and more, light refreshments will be available. There will also be door prizes, music and a visit from Santa.
