Caudill joins McDaniel Wealth Management

McDaniel Wealth Management PLLC recently welcomed Associate Wealth Advisor Rob Caudill, AAMS to its team.

As associate wealth advisor, Caudill holds his Series 7-General

Securities Representative Exam and 66-Combined State Law licenses, as well as his Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation, awarded by the College for Financial Planning. He was raised in Danville, is a graduate of Danville High School and holds a bachelor’s of science in economics and finance from Centre College (2016).

Caudill serves on the board for the United Way Young Leaders Society in Lexington and holds the position of treasurer for the Rotaract Club of Lexington. While at Centre, Caudill enjoyed a successful career on the baseball team. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time on the golf course and around the game of baseball. Caudill is an avid fan of Kentucky Athletics, as well as the Atlanta Braves.

Craig appointed as new agent of Lincoln County Farm Bureau

LOUISVILLE— Pat Craig has been appointed as a new agent with Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Mutual Insurance Company at the Lincoln County Farm Bureau, Stanford Agency. Craig’s appointment was announced in Louisville by Chuck Osborne, Vice President of Agency Support & Marketing for KFB Insurance.

Craig is a Rockcastle County native. He attended EKU and Cumberland College, earning a bachelor’s degree in technical ag/business management. Prior to accepting his new role, Craig worked as an adjuster at KFB since 1991.

In his new position, Craig will call on the residents of Lincoln County to offer a wide variety of insurance coverage through KFB Insurance. He will work with Agency Manager, Andrew Kaiser, and the staff at the Lincoln County Farm Bureau – Stanford Agency, located at 233 Doe Run Road in Stanford and can be reached by phone at (606) 365-3153.

Craig joins a well-established network of approximately 400 Kentucky Farm Bureau agents statewide. The company, founded in 1943, has offices in all of the commonwealth’s 120 counties. Farm Bureau markets a wide variety of insurance lines, from homeowner’s and automobile coverage to life and health insurance and retirement planning.

The insurance services are affiliated with Lincoln County Farm Bureau, one of the largest membership organizations in the county. Farm Bureau members have access to a variety of membership services, including discount buying programs, college scholarships, farm marketing, and leadership development activities.

Jim Henderson named KACo executive director/CEO

FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Henderson as the new executive director/CEO of KACo. Henderson, who has served as deputy executive director of KACo since January 2018, will assume his new duties immediately.

KACo is the premier organization dedicated to serving all Kentucky counties through quality programs and services and by advocating for legislative solutions to county needs and priorities. It is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of county officials from across various local elected offices who reside across the state.

“It was important for us to find a leader who understands the challenges and opportunities that face our locally elected officials, but also with the breadth of experience to run a complex organization like KACo,” said KACo President and Caldwell County Magistrate Elbert Bennett. “Jim fits that description and then some. We are confident that KACo will flourish under his leadership.”

Prior to coming to KACo, Henderson served as Simpson County Judge/Executive for five terms. In 2012, he was elected as 2nd vice-president of the KACo Board of Directors and became president of KACo in 2015. He is also a past-president of the Kentucky County Judge/Executive Association (KCJEA) and was a member of the KCJEA executive board and legislative committee for nearly 15 years.

“I’m honored by the confidence and support shown to me by the Board of Directors,” said Henderson. “I’m passionate about our mission, and I believe strongly in the role our county officials play in the life of our Commonwealth. I look forward to working with county officials, legislators, and executive branch officials to address the needs of Kentucky at the local level. In the end, we want to provide the best resources and services to our counties, and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to wake up every day to meet that mission.”

Henderson noted his desire to position counties proactively in solutions that affect the Commonwealth. “At my core, I still view things through the prism of an elected county official, and I believe counties are the most efficient and responsive level of government. We are going to ensure we are positioned to lead on issues being discussed in the Capitol.”

Rep. Wilson Stone, who has worked with Henderson for numerous years while representing Simpson County in the state legislature, remarked, “I have enjoyed working with Judge Henderson from his days as County Judge/Executive and through his role with KACo. He and I have always worked well together, and he has established a good working relationship with legislators across Kentucky. I am confident that he will be an excellent executive director/CEO for KACo and be a strong voice for county priorities in Frankfort.”

KACo serves all 120 counties of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by providing insurance, financial services, research and planning, continuing education and training, and legislative services for counties and elected county officials.

Board-certified surgeon joins Ephraim McDowell Health

Ephraim McDowell Health welcomes Dr. Tin Tran, board-certified general surgeon, to the medical staff. Dr. Tran will practice at Ephraim McDowell Central Kentucky Surgeons in Danville.

Dr. Tran attended Ho Chi Minh City School of Medicine in 1992 in Vietnam, experienced extensive training in Vietnam and was recognized as one of the outstanding pioneers of laparoscopic and minimally-invasive surgery in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. He completed a fellowship at the University of Louisville (2005) and specialized in interventional endoscopy and pancreatobiliary surgery. He completed residency training at the University of Kentucky (2008), a residency at the University of Florida (2009) and another residency at Marshall University (2012).

Dr. Tran has a special interest in pancreatobiliary surgeries, bariatric surgery, advanced endoscopy, gastrointestinal tract cancer surgery and general surgery.
