1944-2020
Linda Mae Ross Moore, 75, died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at her home in Junction City. She was born on July 24, 1944 in Decatur, Illinois to the late Norma David Gadberry and William Charles Ross. Linda graduated from Junction City High School and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church.
Throughout her life she worked several jobs including Fram Filters, in the cafeteria at Junction City Elementary, cooked at Peckerwood Grocery, and was a caregiver for various people. She loved to play Yahtzee and card games like Rook. Linda always put her grandson first. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Donald Lee “Shotgun” Moore.
Linda is survived by three daughters; Christy Lee Moore of Danville, Cathy Lynn Moore of Danville and Norma Elizabeth “Beth” Denham (Chris) of Lancaster, two sons, James David Moore of Junction City and Michael Gregory (Stacy) Moore of Richmond, and one grandson, William Clay Denham.
The funeral service will be 1 pm, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Ernest Fields Jr. will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Will Denham, David Zeller, Larry Joe Long, Mike Moore, Lonnie Wilson, Eddie Moore, Sammie Martin, Eddie Martin and Larry Long. Honorary pallbearers will be John Land, David Land, Angie Wilson, Gary Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Angela Peck and Julie Gibson. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
