The Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange is continuing to provide services and referrals even though their offices are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic social-distancing regulations.
Anyone who doesn’t have health coverage, and/or who have lost their job due to this crisis can still receive help and information through KHBE, which is a partner with Blue Grass Community Action Agency, said health benefit assister Linda East, who helps residents in Boyle and Lincoln counties.
“We’re working remotely,” East said, because the assisters want to help everyone who has been affected by job layoffs due to the pandemic.
East said she even delivered lunch to the staff at a local physician’s office one day. “Everybody can do something. We’ll get through this.”
Boyle and Lincoln County residents needing assistance with KHBE can contact East at (859) 339-2308 or Linda.east@bgcap.org.
Garrard, Mercer and Jessamine county residents can contact Michelle Ballew at (502) 682-0944 or Michelle.Ballew@bgcap.org.
