One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Boyle County as of Thursday afternoon.

According to the Boyle County Health Department, all people involved in the case were contacted earlier on Thursday. “As this process goes on, it is important to remember that when we receive one positive case, there is the possibility that others in close contact with that person could also end up positive. This is the nature of how this virus spreads.”

The health department reported that of the 14 cases in Boyle, 10 are active cases of the virus and four victims have recovered and are off quarantine.
