Shirley “Jean” Roller Honaker
1949-2020
Shirley “Jean” Roller Honaker, 71, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020. She was born in Boyle County on August 13, 1949, a daughter of the late Melvin and Dorothy Strevels Roller. Jean and her husband Frebert were married 54 years.
Jean was a homemaker and member of Hometown Church of God in Junction City. She enjoyed traveling, especially going to the Smoky Mountains and going on Cruises. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Frebert, survivors are two sons, Tony (Ann) Honaker, Terry (Julie) Honaker, five grandchildren, Devin Honaker, Cameron (Hannah) Honaker, Kelsi (Trent) Edgington, Matthew and Caleb Honaker, two great-grandchildren, Huxlee and Porter Honaker, and two sisters, Joyce Roller Pendygraft and Mary Roller (Chip) Vanlandingham.
Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Honaker.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Pastor Donald Lear officiating. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 and from noon – 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Walden Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Devin, Cameron, Matthew, Caleb, Todd Honaker and Kelsi Edgington.
Honorary bearers will be Brian Pendygraft, Chase and Ashley Vanlandingham, Michael Pruitt, Wendy Vanoy and Jean’s Sunday School class from Hometown Church of God.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are recommended to Heritage Hospice or Danville Select Specialty Care.
