Ethan Wood, a right-handed pitcher-infielder at Danville, signed a letter-of-intent to play for the University of Louisville on Wednesday. Wood earned all-state recognition as a sophomore in 2019 when he went 5-0 with 70 strikeouts and a 1.66 earned-run average and batted .432 with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs for Danville. He has appeared on national lists of the top prospects in the class of 2021, and he is part of a Louisville 2021 recruiting class ranked No. 7 by Perfect Game.
