News release
The following message was posted on the Boyle County Schools website.
After consulting with the Boyle County Health Department on the county’s incidence matrix, Boyle County Schools has decided to continue operating under the Learning at Home Plan next week. The county’s incidence rate remains very high due to a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, community spread.
All students will learn virtually starting this Wednesday, Jan. 6 until at least Friday, Jan. 15. The District will join the health department to take another look at the incidence rate next week to determine if any in-person instruction can be offered the week of Jan. 19. (There is no school on Monday, Jan. 18 in observance of Martin Luther King Day).
There will be a bulk meal pickup tomorrow/Tuesday night at Boyle County Middle School from 5-6 p.m. It’s first come, first served. There is no registration necessary.
Daily meal delivery via bus will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and continue while the District is operating under the Learning at Home Plan.
It is the District’s hope that we can get kids back in the school buildings as soon as it’s safe to do so. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s principal.
