Dorothy Lee Wooldridge of East Main Street, Danville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at age 89 on Monday, March 21, 2022, subsequent to surgery and brief illness. She was born June 26, 1932 in Stanford, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William and Sally Parsons Lusk.

She was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. Dorothy, by any measure, was an exceptional individual. Although she was unable to obtain a higher education following graduation at Crab Orchard High School, she was the motivating force ensuring multiple family members obtainment of graduate college degrees. She had a work ethic that was second to none, being justifiably proud of working at Modine manufacturing Co./Signet Systems, Harrodsburg, Kentucky and multiple other work locations without an absence (other than hospital-level illness or funerals).

She was predeceased by her wonderful husband, Lyle B. Wooldridge; 4 sisters, Geneva Frederick, Alice Gill, Nonnie Stratton, and Lucille Lusk; a brother, James Lusk; and a great-granddaughter, Daisy Ann Hoskins. Dorothy is survived by a son and his wife, Willie J. Hoskins (Debra), Lancaster, Kentucky; a daughter, Dorothy Irene Hoskins, Danville, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Hoskins (Caleigh), Granville, Ohio, Jeffrey Hoskins, Lancaster, Kentucky, and Payton Aitken, Danville, Kentucky; and 3 great-grandchildren, Bailey Hoskins, Carter Hoskins both of Lancaster, Kentucky and Reagan Hoskins, Boynton Beach, Florida.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until the time of service on Friday. www.preston-pruitt.com
