This week our featured pets are sweet little Leo the puppy and three darling kittens: Ben, Carlos, and Jay.

Leo is a young pup of only three to four months old and about the cutest thing ever! He’s got big brown eyes and long, soft ears. One look at his darling face and you’ll be in love! Leo is going through his gangly puppy phase where his legs are growing faster than everything else and he is as clumsy as he is cute. If you’re looking for a lot of love in a little package, Leo might be your guy!

Leo will be fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped before he goes to his new home. The Descendants boys have been living in a foster home until they were big enough to get neutered, and now it’s time for Ben, Carlos, and Jay to find their furever homes. These three guys are all kitten: curious, silly, and fun! They love to explore and play with toys, and really enjoy tumbling around together and snuggling, too.

Their littermates Evie and Mal have found homes already, let’s get the guys home, too. An estimated 75-95 million pet cats and 30-80 million community cats live in America. Considering there are only 120 million households in the U.S., it is mathematically impossible to find indoor homes for all of the cats living here! That is one reason why DBCHS encourages people to take advantage of the Community Cat Program and get outdoor cats fixed and vaccinated.

DBCHS’s Community Cat Program provides the limited and necessary intervention that allows outdoor cats to live healthy and happy lives and prevents shelter euthanasia. If you or someone you know is feeding outdoor cats in Boyle County, get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated at no cost to you: email dbchs@bellsouth.net to make an appointment. So far this year the Community Cat Program has fixed and vaccinated more than 230 cats; get your outdoor cats fixed and help us save more lives!
