1932-2018
Ruth Bastin Cline, 85, of Danville, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Casey County to Jason and Anna Bastin on March 13, 1932. She was a retired nurse and spent her entire career helping others at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. For the past 20 years, her time was spent volunteering at the Salvation Army in Danville, where she made many dear friends over the years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and leaves behind many loving friends from the Morning Star Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Cline; and her daughter-in-law, Karen Cline.
Surviving is a daughter, Debbie (Joe) Pope of Maryville, Tenn.; sons, Steve (Ruby) Cline and Scott Cline, both of Danville; granddaughters, Jocelyn (Brian) Nash, Jessica (Scott) Flinchum, and Courtney (Michael) Cline; step grandchildren, Bobbie (Gerard) Perkins and Brad Hill (Tori); great grandchildren, Sarabeth and Hannah Nash, Brayden and Eli Cline, and Cooper Price; step great-grandchildren, Kaylan Perkins and Baylee Perkins, and also several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:15 p.m. at Bellevue Cemetery with Pastor Brent Rowe officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.
