Field Trip Fun

A group of children from Little Lighthouse Learning and Care Center took an excursion to Burke’s Bakery and Constitution Square Historic Site Tuesday morning. Their caregiver, Michel Mingey, said they often take little field trips and walk everywhere they go.

- While at the park, Sam Foley tosses flower petals into the air while sitting on the tree truck that was recently carved for public art. The tree was an old yellowwood tree in the park that was dying before it was cut down and carved by Buck Graham and Dennis Toadvine. The design includes many of the elements which drew those early settlers to Kentucky
