Cellist Ben Sollee visited Danville over the weekend, participating in many arts activities and events. On Saturday evening, Sollee headlined a concert that also featured Cody Langham and Lylak at the Art Center of the Bluegrass. After the musical entertainment, the art center screened “Edward Scissorhands,” which Sollee helped choose.
Sollee also played music for a yoga session at the Art Center earlier in the day, and on Friday, he gave a public talk about how working artists connect with opportunities in the startup and impact-investing communities.
During his concert, Sollee plugged the non-profit startup Canopy(canopyky.org), of which he is a part, which aims to help for-profit businesses improve their social and environmental impacts.
