Letter: City should move on instead of hiring lawyer

How sad, yet pitiful, yet outrageous, that our city leaders find it necessary to hire an out-of-town lawyer to settle a petty difference between employees. People say inappropriate things, feelings may be hurt, apologies are offered, that should end it.

Why can’t people just forgive and forget? Why make such a big deal out of foolish words? Whatever happened to “turn the other cheek” and “forgive that you may be forgiven?”

What a shame that there is so much bickering going on, at the national as well as the local level, when there are so many more important issues to be discussed.
