Boyle County Schools opened their doors early Wednesday morning for the first day of school.

Lines of bumper-to-bumper traffic lined the roads leading to Woodlawn Elementary and the middle and high schools.

At the middle school, students sauntered into the building wearing masks and toting backpacks and sports bags. One man driving a pickup truck rolled down the windows, pumped his fists in the air and yelled, “First day of school! Yeah!!”
