City Manager Earl Coffey and the Regent of St. Asaph Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Judy Sieweke watch as Boyle County Judge, Howard Hunt and Danville City Commissioner James Atkins prepare to ring the Courthouse bell in celebration of Constitution Day. Constitution Day, on Sept. 17, is in memory of that day on 1787 when the Constitution was signed. DAR remembers and celebrates Constitution Day every year in order to draw attention to our form of government. DAR is a service organization with missions to promote education, historic preservation, and patriotism. - Photo submitted
