While there were several state champions from area schools at last week’s KHSAA State Track and Field Championships in Lexington, there were noteworthy performances all around the University of Kentucky track.
A total of 39 area athletes made it to the medals stand by finishing in the top eight places, while others who didn’t earn medals achieved personal bests.
