Drug Take Back Day is Saturday

Boyle County residents are invited to participate in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, by bringing unused and outdated prescription medications to Boyle County’s Earth Day Celebration on April 26, from 9 to 1, at Constitution Square.  Boyle County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (ASAP) will be accepting unwanted medications at their agency table on that day.  Boyle County’s annual Earth Day Celebration will be held in conjunction with the opening day of the 2025 Boyle County Farmers Market.  Getting rid of old medications at the same time is an added opportunity for local folks to prevent misuse of medications and unsafe disposal detrimental to the environment.  Consider Saturday, April 26, as a great time to learn how to care for the earth, support local farmers and other vendors, and prevent drug misuse, by bringing to Constitution Square unused medications for safe disposal.  Not able to make it to Take Back Day on the 26th?  Prescription medication disposal drop boxes are available throughout the year at the Danville Police Department in City Hall, the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office in the County Courthouse, CVS Pharmacy, The Medicine Shoppe, and Danville Compounding.
