Roy Lee Switzer, 95, of Danville, formerly of Bellevue, Kentucky, died August 19, 2023, in Lexington, KY. He was born on September 26, 1927, in Covington KY to the late Elmer and Nettie Mae (nee Hill) Switzer. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 77 years Jean Switzer (nee Gemmer). Lee was a devoted husband, and father. He served proudly in the US Navy and was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He retired from Rotex as a welder and maintenance man. Lee was a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He loved life and enjoyed people, working around his house and reading the Wall Street Journal. He is survived by his two daughters, Connie L. (nee Switzer) (Daniel H.) Owings of Cincinnati, KY and Jeanne M. Switzer of Danville Ky. Lee is also survived by a Sister-in-law, Janet Beck; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters-in-law, Eva May (Howard) Nolan Laura L. (Richard) Swartsel; brothers-in-law, Homer (Marlene) Gemmer, and Raymond Beck. A graveside service and burial will take place on August 29, 2023, at 1P.M. at the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of your choice.
