The Boyle County Public Library is hosting the Gathering Artists Summer 2023 Exhibit, “Playing Favorites.” The exhibit features the works of numerous regional artists. Each piece of art reflects the exhibit title, featuring the favorite piece(s) of each artist. Artwork includes paintings, photography, felted pieces, sculptures, and jewelry. The exhibit will be on display in the Georgia de Araujo Gallery at the library through Aug. 31.

Dungeons & Dragons is often called the greatest role-playing game of all time. The library offers a D&D club for adults that meets at the library on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Adults can join a session on Sunday, Aug. 27 at noon or 4:30 p.m. No experience is necessary, but registration is required. To register, sign up at the library or email library@boylepublib.org. On Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m., the library will offer “Poetry & Prose: Welcome Writers.” Join us for our first creative writing session as we introduce ourselves, talk about our favorite genres and inspirations, and do some freewriting of our own. If you enjoy writing poems, short stories, novels, or other forms of fiction, this session is for you. This event will be held in the Conference Room. (Ages 11-18)
