The Constitution Square Festival is returning on September 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival will a day of food and fun with nearly 60 vendors.

“We have more community groups, art vendors, new art vendors and more farmer’s market vendors,” said Arts Commission Executive Director Mimi Becker. “We have at least three food trucks and a lemonade truck.”

This is the second year of the festival’s return after a long hiatus. Its first year back was a massive success with more than 2,000 attendees.

“Some growth this year is good,” Becker said. “We have some competition now that Covid is over and other festivals are cranking back up again. Some of our vendors really appreciate the single day format but others prefer a longer format. That is just something to consider when we make a decision. We like the format because it encourages cooperation from the farmer’s market vendors and gives them an extra boost in their opportunities to grow their business.”

The festival helps to celebrate local arts and showcase artists. The state ran the festival as a three-day event more than a decade ago when it owned Constitution Square Park. The festival came back with the help and success of the Boyle County Farmer’s Market.

This year’s festival is primarily sponsored by Whitaker Bank alongside the Boyle County Farmer’s Market, Chamber of Commerce, and Arts Commission.
