Contractors for Norfolk Southern Railroad will be in your area assisting the railroad in doing multiple crossing repairs that will require roads to be closed for a short period of time. The date for work to start is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 9. Because train traffic and weather can change, the dates can also change; the contractors will keep us updated when or if that happens. They will have all temporary traffic control in place and will let impacted residents and businesses who have no access to their locations be made aware at least 24 hours in advance of any closure. Below is the list of crossings scheduled for repair in the county.

The work will affect the following crossings:

• Faulkner Lane – SR 1896

• Shelby Street – SR 300

• Knoblick Road
