Brenda Lucille Scott Adams

Brenda Lucille Scott Adams was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on May 7, 1925 and passed away on November 18, 2023. She was the daughter of Verna Cummins Scott and Oscar Scott. She attended Rockcastle County Schools and was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. She taught for many years at the Kentucky School for the Deaf. She was married for 76 years to William Earl Adams,
who predeceased her. She was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, the DAR, and ADK. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, sewing, basket making, and working with stained glass.
She is survived by her sons William Earl Adams, Jr. (Madge) of Scottsdale, Arizona and
Larry Scott Adams (Joann) of Clarksville, Tennessee; sisters Dorothy Thacker of Texas, Velda Herald, and Jenny Pruitt of Hamilton, Ohio; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and her extended Danville family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brother Johnny Scott who died in infancy, sisters Ruth Scott and Louise Reynolds, and brother Nolan Scott.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. Burial is in Bellevue Cemetery in Danville.
