Sue Richardson

Sue Stuart Swan Richardson died on January 7 at the age of 94 at her home in Danville, where she lived for 63 years. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1929, to Sue Baskett Swan and Oscar Edward Swan and was the youngest of five siblings. Sue came by train to Centre College in 1946 where she met her beloved husband, Guy Preston Richardson, to whom she was married for 66 years. Sue played a vital role in her family’s grocery business, was active in the The Presbyterian Church of Danville where she was a Stephen Minister and was a spectacular gardener and baker.
She is survived by four children, and their families: Anne and Tip Evans (Tipton, Mary Elizabeth, and Guy) Guy Preston Richardson, Jr, and Tami Vickers (George and Marianna), Elizabeth and Sean Cook (Sue and Rosemary), Mary and Bill Noelker (Rob, Katie, and Emily).
A visitation and lunch will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024 in the Fellowship Hall at The Presbyterian Church of Danville.
