Pet of the Week
Published 4:30 pm Thursday, March 14, 2024
The Pet of the Week is Dax, a well mannered mature Jack Russell Terrier looking for his forever family. He is relatively small, less than 25 lbs, so he could do well in an apartment or smaller home.
Dax is 7 years old, so his energy levels are more in line with a leisurely walk, a game of fetch the ball, and smelling all the smells in the neighborhood. He has played nicely with other larger dogs, but does tend to boss smaller dogs around. Cats and smaller pets may be a bit of a temptation to his Jack Russell instinct. He is house trained and ready to mingle.
He is very laid back and would like to join you for Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy every night. He is very smart, but will let you take the lead on answers because he is not into barking. Dax is a lapdog! Give him some pets and you will be friends for life.
Dax will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped soon so come in and meet this sweet fella! Apply now: dbchs.org/adopt and meet him at DBCHS between 1-4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 1-7 pm Thursday, and Saturday between 10 am-3 pm. We hope to see you soon!
