Danville Sister Cities high school exchange students are currently in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, Danville’s Sister City. The Danville group of eight students made the journey last week to spend time with the Carrickfergus students’ families.

Danville students will arrive back on Tuesday, July 9, and the Irish students will arrive in Danville Thursday to stay with the Danville students’ families. There will be a “Welcome to Danville’” reception for the Irish visitors on Friday, July 12 at 4 p.m. in the reading room of the Boyle County public library.

The Danville mayor and Boyle County Judge-Executive, along with some Sister Cities supporters, will welcome them in a short ceremony.
