Our featured pets this week are Fred and Avery.
Fred is a handsome 3-year-old black and white cat with long hair. He was brought to the humane society because of his owner’s ill health. Fred is an extremely sweet and friendly fellow. He has an even temperament and seems to adjust well to new situations. Fred is declawed in front so he needs to be strictly an indoor kitty. Don’t you want to give Fred a second chance at his forever home?
Avery is a very sweet and pretty 15-week-old mixed breed puppy. She has a lovely tan and white coat and big brown eyes that will touch your heart. Avery was from an unwanted litter, but she is hoping to be very much wanted and loved in her new home. Avery has so much potential to make a great family pet. Come and spend some time with this precious girl and see if she is the perfect fit for your home!
Warmer weather means more trips to the park, longer walks and more chances for your pet to wander off or possibly slip out of the house. After all this winter weather check your backyard fence, window screens and screen doors and make sure they are pet proof. Make sure your dog or cat has a microchip for identification and wears a tag with your contact information. Keep several recent photos of your pet in case you have to go looking for a lost companion. If your pet goes missing promptly call the humane society to file a report so hopefully your dog or kitty can quickly make it back home
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
