The Danville Children’s Choir will celebrate the end of its spring semester with a free public concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
The concert, titled “The Song that Nature Sings,” will feature a variety of selections showcasing the young singers’ talents and love of music.
The Danville Children’s Choir was founded in 1990 by Bruce Richardson, with a mission to enrich children’s lives through quality choral music spanning all ages and genres. Today, the choir continues that tradition under the direction of Patti Wright.
Each semester, the choir learns a wide range of music and performs at community events throughout Danville, including Earth Day celebrations, Art Center of the Bluegrass Family Day, and the Gallery Hop hosted by the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County. The semester culminates in a public concert for the community.
Sunday’s performance is free and open to the public.
