Mary Lucille Adams
1931-2017
Mary Lucille (Elkins) Adams, 85, of Waynesburg, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, the Rev. James Kenneth Adams on July 11, 2006.
Lucille was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on December 25, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mayme Elkins and very special aunt and uncle, Mae and Clarence Elkins. Lucille was a homemaker, loved her cats, crafts, her gardens and researching her family genealogy in Lincoln County. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Carol ( John) Sewell of Grayson, Ky; granddaughter, Jennifer (Ben) Fields of Ashland, Ky; and a very special great-grandson, Alexander John Fields. Lucille is also survived by a sister, Frances (Jesse) Allen of Albuquerque, NM; and nieces Judy (Kevin) Manicki of Albuquerque, NM and Karen (David) Holstein of Denver, CO.
Serving as pallbearers are William and Maurice Tucker, Kenneth and John Tschanz, and Ron Elkins
Funeral service 2 p.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Waynesburg, Ky with Bro. Kyle Page officiating. Place of Burial will be in the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. until funeral time on Thursday, March 23 at the church.
