Commodities to be given in Casey County
LIBERTY — Commodities will be distributed to income-eligible Casey County residents from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday June 14 at the recycling center located at 1175 Campbellsville Street. Recipients are asked to bring their own containers for easy storage and transportation.
Senior living facility to serve lemonade for Alzheimer’s Association
Morning Pointe of Danville senior living and memory care will be recognizing the longest day of the year by bringing awareness to Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders by selling ice cold lemonade from 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at Millennium Park. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
Lincoln library to host nature program
STANFORD — The Lincoln County Public Library will host Liberty Nature Center: Birds of Prey at noon on Saturday, July 1. Bring the whole family to see and learn about these amazing birds of prey. The library will also be giving away a free pair of Cincinnati Reds Baseball tickets at the program (you must be present to win.) Program presented by Liberty Nature Center. Meetings
Parking Regulation Hearing Board — 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15 at Danville City Hall conference room for a special called meeting. Items on the agenda include the selection of chairman; and several citation appeals.
Lincoln County Retired Teachers — 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20 at the Lincoln County Senior Citizen Center. There will be a potluck lunch and fellowship. There will also be an Act of Remembrance service for educators of Lincoln County who have passed during the 2016-2017 school year. All Lincoln County retired teachers are invited.
