Irvine Lee Butler
Irvine Lee Butler, 75, of Rineyville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at his residence. Irvine proudly served his country in the Marine Corps with the Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Division and retired from Gates Rubber Company.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Mace Butler; parents Francis and Lucille Coyle Staton; a sister Betty Butler Pyla; and a nephew, John W. Pyla.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Vessels Butler; daughter, Linda Butler of Hodgenville; three sons, Douglas Butler of Hodgenville and Brian (Kim) Butler and Robert (Paula) Butler, all of Elizabethtown; two step-daughters Angela (Kenny) Devore of Hodgenville and Marisa Powers of Rineyville; two sisters, Donna (Carl) Knopf of Mobile, Alabama; and Nancy (Jim) King of Danville; a brother-in-law, Jack Pyla of Jacksonville, Florida; two half-sisters, Katherine Green and Shirley Schwartzhopt of Nebraska; a half-brother, John (Betty) Butler of Nebraska and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Carlton Puryear officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
