1932-2017
Newell Foster Hooker, 84, Danville, husband of Anna, died Monday at the V.A Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Stanford, to the late John Franklin and Deanie (Elliott) Hooker. He served in the Army during Korean war and was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife: Anna Ray (Langford) Hooker, one daughter: Miranda (Doug) Ruggles, and one son: John Hooker, both of Danville, KY, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild,
Visitation 11am-1pm Thursday; August 17 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Sabe Ruggles, Lucus Ruggles, Wyatt Ruggles, John M. Hooker, Joe Wright Danny Langford. Honorary bearers will be: Jem Metz, Amanda Hooker, Oliva Ruggles and Kye Xavier Hooker.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James McPherson. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery, Danville.
